Start with the details that change the plan.
Photograph the whole surface and any damaged joints, loose coatings, cracks, or fragile areas. Tell the provider about earlier treatments if you know them. Move or identify furniture, potted plants, electrical items, and personal belongings that could be affected.
Think through the work before scheduling.
Discuss water access and how wash water will be managed for the actual site. If the work is near a waterway or another sensitive area, point it out at the outset. Cleaning cannot promise to remove permanent wear, repair damaged surfaces, or solve a separate moisture problem.
Your project checklist
- Identify concrete, pavers, coated areas, or other materials.
- Photograph damage and existing finishes.
- Plan protection or movement of nearby belongings.
- Discuss access, water, and wash-water handling.
Will cleaning make a worn patio look new?
Results depend on the material, coating, staining, and wear. Ask what improvement is realistic for the surface before agreeing to the work.
